Definition of Sustainable Development: Sustainable Development may be defined as development, or present and future societal, cultural,  and infrastructural change, or growth, that is consciously guided by the principles of sustainability, the idea of balancing human needs within finite environmental systems,   ensuring life and prosperity for the greatest number of people now, and in our shared future on planet Earth.

We felt the need for a concise, easily understandable definition, based on encounters with people within all classes of society, all without a single clue as to what Sustainable Development means!
